There are none so sour as those who are sweet to order. -Luc de Clapiers, Marquis de Vauvenargues, essayist (1715-1747)
Just thought I would share the quote. Picked it up while visiting Zunni’s in Memphis, tu sais.
Hawk, Out!

Hawk, Out!
The following is a little mystical something, perhaps an inner secret of life or living that came to me from a friend out Montana way, who lives near Flathead Lake and the Swan River. If you don’t know what Kabbalah, do a search and find out for your self.
Hawk, Out!
Monday, July 7
My father’s teacher, Rav Brandwein, taught him, “When we come to the upper worlds, we are asked to name the greatest accomplishment of our lives.
Most people answer, “Everybody loved me.” These people are told to go back and do it all over again.”
The purpose of our Creation is not to tow the line and do as we are told. It is to make waves and to be willing to stand alone if it means standing up for what we believe in.
Today, speak your truth, regardless of what others will think.
It’s time to abolish the two-party system, impose term limits, and begin a political revolution. These are but a few of the numerous things that need to change. You know what I’m saying, yes?
Between McCain & Obama (Barney Fife dipped in chocolate), who can blame the American people for having little or no faith in our elected officials and otherwise, feckless party nominees. Rather than offer my own personal banter on the state of affairs within our political system, I give you the following vid for your political amusement. If you have already seen it, oh well! If you haven’t, sit back and be slightly entertained. Someone really should produce one for the Donkey’s Ass Party. Perhaps a personal project I could undertake. On second-thought, I don’t have the time or the inclination.
Hawk Out!
I came across the following quote by Ralph Marston, which I found to be personally meaningful, so I thought I would share it with my friends.
I offer no personal opinion or analysis. Take from it what you find meaningful. It’s here only because I like the spirit of the message.
Enjoy!
Hawk, Out!
The future is bright. Because the future is created by positive people.
Those who are negative make a lot of noise about how bad things are. Those who are positive quietly and steadily make a lot of real improvements and contributions to life.
There are always problems and there are always challenges. And there are always people willing to transform those challenges into great opportunities.
Those who have the courage, commitment and discipline to follow their own best dreams, bring the rest of the world along with them. Those who choose to do the best they can with what they have, create a better life for everyone.
For every high-profile guru of doom who wails about how hopeless and unfair life is, there are millions of others working tirelessly to make life better than ever. For every frightening crisis that is breathlessly reported, there are millions of real, meaningful success stories that don’t get noticed, but that do have enormous positive influence.
Negative people obsess over the past while positive people work their way eagerly toward the future. Life gets better and better when you choose to make it so, and the future is bright indeed.
– Ralph Marston
See you on the next flight!

Kickin’ back and relaxing to some tunes while peering at the world from under the brim of my hat - Zzzzzzzzzzzzz!
So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
